Coming at you this week- Well yes, we are a little late getting this up this week. Getting back from TNF100 in Australia and recovering from a 100km race, catching up on work and family this has been put on the back burner…
Great results from TNF100 in Australia this past weekend, with Vajin Armstrong again running a great race, placing 2nd behind Ryan Sandes in 9hr51. In the woman’s race Australian based kiwi Julie Quinn also placed 2nd.
Back home- I have not had the full run down on the trail races from around the country (Xterra Auckland, Trail Run Series Hawks Bay, RiverRun Series Wanaka), but from what I have heard they all went off well.
Coming up this weekend- The excellent Wellington Xterra series continues, this time with the Starlight Run - 10 and 6km options.
In Rotorua the much anticipated Big O Trail Run is taking place around Lake Okataina (think Tarawera Ultra trails). The course has been tweaked a little this year and we have managed to catch up with Shaun from Lactic Turkey Events- keep an eye out for his thoughts on this year’s race later today.
I think we said last week with all the excellent media on La Palma we would not be bothering Frosty for a post race interview, rather leaving it to the professionals, and Bryon Powell from irunfar has delivered. Check out his great post Transvulcania interview with Anna Frost. Anna also wrote a race report over on irunfar that is worth a look.
