BCR “of the Year” Polls

BCRBCR “of the Year” Polls- we are giving you folks the chance to recognise and acknowledge the people and events that have stood out for you during 2013.

We will close the polls this time in a week- Friday 20th December.

A few things re the polls-

  • Try not turn these into a popularity contest- be as objective and fair as possible. If it is just a popularity vote then it loses what little creditability it might have had and is also unfair to others.
  • We have looked at New Zealand mountain, ultra and trail (MUT) races, runners and events. Some of the performances have been by New Zealanders based off shore.
  • There is a spot you can add your own selection

Thanks for all your amazing support this year! BCR has grown heaps this year- and it has been down to all the support it has received with people reading the blog and supplying great content- Cheers!

  1. Al I have to say is that all of this events could not have been able to put on with out the volunteers of which I have been one , and yes I also run so

    • good call Owen! Could not agree more!
With the “event” of the year” I hope people take this into account- the event/race as a whole.
But I was thinking this weekend it would be nice to have some recognition of person/group that has put up there time to help contribute to NZ trail running, or an event/race.

A Backcountry Running Community for New Zealand trail, mountain and ultra runners- We want this to be the place you come for all things trail running including race previews and reports, interviews with New Zealand runners and hopefully a whole lot more! Our aim is to provide as much original content- previews/reports/interviews on New Zealand trail, mountain and ultra races. We can't be everywhere- so feel free to get in touch if you have the scoop on a race or event.
